See the World's Greatest Gardens
Travel the World: Every year, I take about 25 people to Great Gardens somewhere in the world. Garden Vistas is a small travel company and together we have been on spectacular trips to Japan, Canada, New Zealand, England, Scotland, Australia, Wales, France and ... well, we never seem to run out of places to see. We would love to have you join us. The only rule is that you must love plants and gardens more than shopping.
In 2014 we travelled to Eastern Canada, in the 5 years prior to that to the Channel Islands of England, Sweden, Wales & the Cotswolds, Japan, and Australia.
Go Back to School: Garden Vistas also organizes Schools of Gardening, 5 day events at a single location. In the mornings, lectures on landscape design, new plants and taxonomy are provided by experts, and most afternoons are spent traveling to wonderful private or public gardens. We have conducted schools in Williams, MA, Bressingham, UK, Warrenton, VA & Long Island, NY. Learning, traveling and hanging out with gardeners like you - there is no better way to go back to school.
Who travels with us? People who enjoy plants, gardens and travel - both amateur and professionals enjoy the time we spend together. We also attract many couples, often one of them is not a gardener at all, but enjoys the travel, the settings and the camaraderie of our group.

Garden Vistas School of Gardening - Boothbay Harbor, Maine: July, 2015
We just completed a stunning school of gardening in Boothbay Harbor. In conjunction with Coastal Maine Botanical Garden, we spent a week taking classes from expert lecturers like Bill Cullina, Rodney Eason and Vinnie Simeone. In the area, we visited private gardens, and we also traveled north to the Roosevelt Garden, Thuya Garden and Asticou Gardens. A fabulous time for learning, relaxing, and for many of us, enjoying the cool.
Great Gardens of Nova Scotia, PEI & Newfoundland: 2014
What a fabulous tour – 10 days of great gardens, great Canadians, and outstanding gardens.
Everywhere we went, we were greeted with outstanding gardens and Maritime hospitality. Traveling by bus, ferry and plane, we covered over 20 gardens in three provinces and still had time to meet the people and see the land.
Who knows where next year may take us, but the memories of Atlantic Canada will always be with us.

The Great Gardens of the Channel Islands - June 23-July 1, 2013
It was other-worldly: We traveled first to London, and immediately jumped on our coach for the gardens at Stourhead and Compton Acres in SE England. We boarded 7 different ferries through the Channel Islands, and saw 20 gardens on the Islands. The entire trip was a huge treat, as so few people put this part of the world on their bucket list. It was on mine, and I am ecstatic we were able to visit. Some of the highlights were the island of Brecqhou, which may be closed to the public in the near future, the island of Sark and traveling with friends and colleagues. If you have a chance to visit these islands, do so, they are friendly, clean and spectacular.
